The Hidden World Of Waffles + Mochi

The Hidden World of Waffles + Mochi app allows families to access games, recipes, and clips from the Netflix show, Waffles + Mochi. By pointing a camera at foods and scanning them, product recognition AI unlocks unique content related to each specific food item, revealing an adventurous hidden world within grocery store shelves.

Using Artificial Intelligence to inform product recognition enables this app to work when thousands of products are scanned. While most AR experiences respond only to graphic cues like packaging, logos and QR codes, this app can recognize items without graphics. It knows the difference between a stack of apples and a stack of tomatoes or it can launch the same content whether you scan a can of tomatoes or a fresh tomato. This means AR can be farther reaching and make an entire store an experience instead of one specific package.
